Conference Theme: Climate Change Imperatives


UNA Eastbourne as a member of UNA London & South Region (LASER). Were hosts for the 2026 LASER Summer Conference. In the morning, the ethical, energy and sequestration imperatives are addressed from the global perspective. For the local perspective, in the afternoon, a panel of specialists examines the adaptability and affordability imperatives. The conference provided us with new insights on the effect of both global and local challenges, which will determine the quality of our futures. The speaker programme was supported by an exhibition with displays from local and national environmental organisations. Following the conference, on Sunday 5th July, there was a guided walk around the famous Peace Path around Beachy Head.
